The intergroup is the Madison fellowship's mechanism for coordinating services that are shared by all of our local groups. It is a service board consisting of representatives from autonomous local meetings. The intergroup does not preside over Madison's independent groups. Rather, it serves the local groups by funding and coordinating:
The intergroup is funded by contributions from its member groups. Each group chooses one or more representatives to serve on the intergroup. We meet regularly to conduct business for the benefit of all the Madison area SAA groups.
