Help for Women
All Madison area SAA meetings welcome people of all genders. Currently there are no women-only meetings in the Madison area. However, some telemeetings are for women only – there is at least one women-only telemeeting every day of the week.
If you have questions about how women fit into the Madison area fellowship, please email or phone us (608-561-3744).
The SAA Women’s Intergroup website provides comprehensive help finding meetings, sponsors, connections, and women’s stories.
The ISO of SAA publishes a great deal of material specifically for women, including:
An overview of resources for women, with tips on getting started and finding a sponsor
A pamphlet titled A special welcome to the Woman Newcomer – from other women members of SAA
A welcome letter from the Women's Outreach Committee that mentions, among other resources, a column for women in the ISO's monthly newsletter
Suggestions for how to connect with other women who are recovering sex addicts
A literature page that lists (a) recordings from workshops addressed to women in SAA, and (b) personal stories of recovering women addicts that have been published in Sex Addicts Anonymous (The Green Book), our basic text
